Welcome to the Don’t Waste Your Say consultation website.  Last year, we gathered the views of over 3,000 people living in Merseyside on how Merseyside will improve municipal waste management over the next thirty years and address some of the major resource challenges. 

The information collected from the consultation was fed into the development of a draft Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy for Merseyside (JMWMS) that will provide a way forward from 2011 for the next 30 years.

The key points of the new Strategy can be found on this website on the page ‘Strategy Summary’.  Please take time to read the Strategy Summary and leave your comments on the feedback form.  You can give as little or as much feedback as you like, we are simply interested in finding out what you think of the draft Strategy.

 We realise however that there are additional consultations that are currently running or will finish close to the date of our consultation – the main one of these being the consultation on Merseyside Waste Development Planning Document (or Waste DPD) being produced by Merseyside Environmental Advisory Service (MEAS).  This deals with the potential locations of new waste facilities and is not related to this consultation.
